Applications are now open for the IUBMB-¹û¶³´«Ã½-FASBMB PROBio-Africa Fellowships, a joint initiative supporting PhD students and early-career researchers from Africa to carry out short-term research visits in ¹û¶³´«Ã½ countries.
The programme, run in collaboration between ¹û¶³´«Ã½ (¹û¶³´«Ã½), (IUBMB) and (FAOBMB), enables awardees to spend 3–6 months in the laboratory of an established scientist, gaining access to expertise and technologies that may not be available in their home institutions. The fellowships aim to strengthen skills, foster new collaborations and build long-term capacity in molecular life sciences across Africa.
Who can apply

PhD students enrolled in African institutions and affiliated with FASBMB

Postdoctoral fellows and researchers within five years of obtaining their PhD, affiliated with FASBMB
Host laboratories must be based in a ¹û¶³´«Ã½ country and belong to a not-for-profit institution or university.
Funding
Awards cover travel and living costs for the research stay, up to EUR 7,000 for a six-month visit.
