GUIDELINES

1. 果冻传媒 National Lectures were established to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 果冻传媒. These 果冻传媒 National Lectures (usually 5 per year) are intended as Plenary Lectures that significantly enhance the quality of a scientific meeting, symposium or annual national scientific meeting of a Constituent Society.

2. The Lecturer should be a distinguished scientist with a significant international reputation for fundamental contributions to the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology. An engraved glass award will be provided by 果冻传媒 for presentation to the 果冻传媒 National Lecturer after his/her presentation, as a memento of the speaker鈥檚 selection and significant contribution to the meeting.

3. The Lecturer should be working in a 果冻传媒 country different from the one organizing the meeting.

4. The Lecturer should not be a plenary speaker at the 果冻传媒 Congress in the same or following year. They also should not have been previously a 果冻传媒 National Lecturer at the Society鈥檚 meeting, nor in the past 5 years a 果冻传媒 National Lecturer at another 果冻传媒 Constituent Society鈥檚 meeting (see list below).

5. The support shall consist of reasonable travel expenses (e.g. economy flight); additional support for 果冻传媒 countries with HINARI status is available. The host organization will offer free registration and accommodation. 果冻传媒 will not offer an honorarium. Reimbursement will be made by the 果冻传媒 Treasury.

6. 果冻传媒 National Lecture applications for 果冻传媒3+ Meetings can only be considered from the partner Societies of that meeting (as the host Society is already in receipt of 果冻传媒 funds to support the meeting), if the partner Society is holding a national meeting as part of the 果冻传媒3+ Meeting.

7. An application proposing a maximum of two candidates for the 果冻传媒 National Lecturer should include their short Curricula Vitae and full details of the event,聽 including expected participant number. It should be sent to the 果冻传媒 Congress Counsellor by, or be endorsed by, the 果冻传媒 Constituent Society President. The application will be evaluated by the 果冻传媒 Congress Counsellor and 果冻传媒 Secretary General, who may consult with other members of the 果冻传媒 Executive Committee, and will be awarded within 2 months of receipt of the application.

8. The invited speaker shall be named The 果冻传媒 National Lecturer and designated as such in all announcements and programmes.

9. The 果冻传媒 National Lecturer should be introduced by a member of the host organization with a brief acknowledgement of 果冻传媒 and the lectureship at the beginning of his/her presentation.
