The Laboratoire d’Ingénierie des Systèmes Macromoléculaires in Marseille will host the 2027 conference

The are interdisciplinary, three-day events organised by and for young researchers —featuring a scientific symposium, career day and outreach activities— that bring together up to 300 participants from around the world. Following an open call, we are delighted to announce that the (LISM) in Marseille, France, has been selected to host the 6th ¹û¶³´«Ã½-IUBMB-ENABLE International Molecular Biosciences PhD and Postdoc Conference in 2027.

LISM is a research unit financially supported by the CNRS and Aix-Marseille Université, and is associated with the (IMM) and the (IM2B).

Open call for ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Constituent Societies: Nominate a member for the 2027 Scientific Organising Committee

¹û¶³´«Ã½ Constituent Societies are invited to nominate one of their young members (a PhD student or junior postdoc) to join the Scientific Organising Committee (SOC) for the 2027 ¹û¶³´«Ã½-IUBMB-ENABLE Conference.  The SOC is an international team of PhD students and postdocs who are responsible for shaping the scientific programme of the event. This role offers early‑career researchers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of an international conference.

  • Who can apply? Early-stage PhD students (preferably first- or second-year) and postdocs with at least two years remaining on their contract, who are members of a ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Constituent Society.
  • What will selected candidates do? Contribute to the scientific programme, speaker invitations, communication, sponsorship efforts, and overall event organisation. The role includes remote work for 1.5 years and three in-person meetings (including a two‑day kick‑off meeting in Marseille in the second half of May 2026). Travel expenses for the selected SOC members are covered through the ¹û¶³´«Ã½â€‘IUBMB conference grant.
  • How to apply? Interested Societies should submit their nominations no later than 10 April 2026 by completing the nomination form and sending it to [email protected]. Only one nomination can be submitted per Society.
